Description
Only Giro could design a full face helmet that's impressively light while offering high-weight protection. With an average weight of just 800 grams, this NTA-certified MTB helmet features Spherical Technology™, powered by Mips®, which sandwiches our innovative Mips integration between independent EPP and EPS foam layers designed to optimize impact management at high and low speeds.
The Coalition Spherical also manages to rival the ventilation and cooling power of some brands' road helmets, combining massive intake ports at the front with efficient exhaust vents at the rear via deep internal channels. Like many of our creations, one of Coalition's most impressive innovations lurks inside: the Halo system combines a Pebax® chinstrap (a material designed to offer the perfect range of flexibility and stiffness) with elastomer bushes integrated into the EPS to absorb and dissipate kinetic forces.
The result is a helmet that exceeds standard chinstrap deflection certification tests by almost 2 times. With Ionic+™ treatments to control odors, and two sets of removable cheek pads to help fine-tune the fit, the Coalition Spherical sets a new benchmark for lightweight full-face protection
