The Cielo X1 2.0 has a snug, racing-specific fit. The new mesh is thin and locks the foot in well.

This is a competition "super shoe". The PEBA foam and plate retain their maximum effectiveness for about 300 to 500 km. Beyond that, the cushioning remains good but the "pop" (rebound) decreases.
Yes, thanks to its generous foam volume. The ample cushioning protects the joints well, unlike more minimalist carbon shoes. The plate helps prevent "sinking" into the foam.
Hoka has integrated "Sticky Rubber" zones on the outsole. The grip is very good on wet asphalt, much better than the old EVA rubbers from the brand.
