This wetsuit is designed for: Speed. Velocity. Faster forward momentum. How else can we put it? This wetsuit will make you faster, no matter what kind of swimmer you are.

How? By relentlessly focusing on the key—and often conflicting—factors of speed in long-distance swimming, and by designing solutions to reconcile the natural trade-offs they impose:

  1. Hydrodynamics, core stability, and energy transfer: The patented IXI™ internal support system (for hydrodynamics) and RSX™ central buoyancy help you maintain a stable and efficient body position, while converting hip rotation into forward propulsion.
  2. Shoulder Flexibility to Go the Distance: Typically, a wetsuit that offers support sacrifices flexibility. But thanks to the patented ARMS-UP™ design, premium Yamamoto neoprene, and—crucially—high-quality linings, the X.3 offers shoulder freedom of movement comparable to a sleeveless model, even though it’s a long-sleeved wetsuit.

These advantages are valuable in any race, but they become decisive when fatigue sets in around the torso and shoulders during prolonged efforts.

Maximum hydrodynamics + maximum power transfer + maximum flexibility = unmatched speed.

What’s New

The X.3 incorporates all the cutting-edge technologies of its predecessor, while featuring several key improvements:

  1. Optimized materials: use of high-end Yamamoto neoprene and linings for enhanced comfort and buoyancy.
  2. Redesigned RSX™ center panel construction: offers greater flexibility and frees up the rib cage to facilitate breathing.
  3. New Aerodome material: improves buoyancy and promotes more dynamic rotation.
  4. New material on the forearms: enhances tactile feedback and water awareness.
  5. Modified collar design: conceals internal seams to reduce irritation and ensure a better seal.

X.3 Technology

  • Xoskeleton™ | Uses an internal IXI™ reinforcement and strategically placed linings to stiffen the wetsuit and connect your hips to your shoulders, thereby maximizing power transfer and stability in the water. This makes your swimming motion easier and more efficient.
  • Total Shoulder Freedom | Designed with arms raised above the head, the patented ARMS-UP™ technology eliminates all shoulder strain, allowing you to swim faster with less fatigue.
  • More Natural Rotation | The patented RSX™ central axial buoyancy technology promotes a more fluid lateral rotation and eliminates dead zones during the front crawl.
  • Optimized buoyancy | Strategic buoyancy added to the legs, torso, and hips helps maintain an ideal horizontal swimming position.
  • Internal Comfort and Support | Roka wetsuits are designed from the inside out and feature premium linings optimized for biomechanics, elasticity, support, comfort, and low water absorption.
  • Enhanced neck comfort | The independent neck suspension system eliminates seams, allowing the collar to follow your movements, improving comfort and reducing irritation.
  • Speed and Durability | A nano-hydrophobic SCS (Super Composite Skin) coating reduces surface drag for greater speed while improving durability.
  • Quick Release | Quick-release ankle panels feature a 2 mm section at the base of the leg to make it easier to pull your heel out during the T1 transition.
  • Feel for the Water | An ultra-lightweight, stretchy woven material at the wrists enhances tactile feedback and sharpens your feel for the water.
