First and foremost, the TYR Hurricane® Cat 5 wetsuit. The world's finest triathlon wetsuit construction: Yamamoto neoprene. Specifically used for triathletes who are elite swimmers, Yamamoto is used to dramatically reduce restrictions on the body, creating the sensation of a second skin. Thanks to a combination of comfort and freedom of movement, Yamamoto optimizes both speed and control in the water.
For TYR Sport, the best combination starts with the best construction. That's why every Cat 5 TYR Hurricane® is built with Yamamoto 44 Cell neoprene. What's more, the Super Composite Skin (SCS) Nano Coating process is used alongside manufacturing to enhance comfort and freedom of movement. Thanks to its hydrophobic and hydrophilic properties, SCS repels water, ensures high heat retention to reduce body fatigue, and boasts incredible durability to prevent abrasion and extend product life. Rather than standard seam construction, every Cat 5 also uses speed wrap panels to wrap you up and keep you comfortable.
Next, 360-degree elevation panels are used to establish correct body positioning in relation to the water surface. Combined with well-fitting cuffs, they maximize the power of paddle strokes without any water intake.
Each HCAFF6A wetsuit also features quick-release ankle cuffs, an innovative antimicrobial lining and state-of-the-art range-of-motion zones.
All TYR Hurricane® suits comply with WTC (Ironman) / USAT standards.
