Wear it next to your skin to keep out the chill on cool days, or add a long-sleeved base layer if temperatures drop. Add a Unlimited Puffy vest and you'll be ready to go out on your bike in autumn, or wear it under a jacket and you'll make it through the winter. This model is also a great choice for your long endurance or bikepacking outings, as it continues to keep you warm while retaining wool's natural ability not to leave behind unpleasant odors. The garment's weight and more open weave promote breathability so it's one of Castelli's least warm long-sleeved jerseys, but the possibilities for pairing with other items make it a very versatile model. It's designed to be worn with a vest, knowing that you have pockets on your shorts and bags on your bike. That's why Castelli didn't equip this merino wool top with back pockets.
