Unisex. Co-developed with Tom Evans. Designed for long distances, hot and cold climates, as well as steep climbs and descents.

Refined after hundreds of miles of testing to achieve the perfect balance between compression and flexibility, cushioning and breathability, lightness and durability.

Tom Evans: A “Swiss Army knife” of a sock.

The challenge was clear: Tom needed a sock capable of withstanding long distances, adapting to hot and cold climates, and offering optimal support during difficult climbs and steep descents.

After months of modifications, iterations, and testing, Tom was ready to put them to the test in their first race: the Lavaredo Ultra Trail (120 km). Sums was thrilled with their performance and, after a few minor adjustments, arrived at the final version of the ASCENDERS.

Designed for the perfect balance between cushioning and breathability, compression and flexibility, lightness and durability. Or “rugged,” as Tom puts it.

The camouflage patterns pay homage to Tom’s military service and recall his signature salute at the finish line. Sums hopes they’ll accompany you on your own adventures in the great outdoors.

Respect for nature.

Most conventional running socks use virgin synthetic fibers that are harmful to the environment (plastics such as polyester, polyamide, etc.). By using a blend of recycled nylon, Sums benefits from the performance of these fibers while significantly reducing the energy, water, and emissions associated with the production of virgin raw materials.
