The significantly more rigid design transmits the braking force from your finger to your braking system more directly and with greater control, giving you a braking sensation of unrivalled precision. The lever can be positioned much closer to the handlebars, solving the problem of the original lever for riders who like the bite point closer to the handlebars or who have smaller hands.
