Description

The Dugast Typhoon tubular tire is designed for versatile cyclocross racing, particularly on mixed, loose terrain. Its specially designed tread pattern offers excellent traction in all conditions, while the integrated spoke control on the sidewalls helps the tire grip the ground in unpaved corners. Its 100% cotton, high-TPI casing combines elasticity, puncture resistance, low rolling resistance, and cornering agility. Combined with the Regular compound and the Ribbon L base tape—designed for rims with an internal width of less than 27 mm—the Typhoon is a versatile solution for cyclocross racing.

What’s the secret behind this competition tubular tire? Let’s take a look at the technologies developed by A Dugast and Vittoria.

The Regular (2C) compound offers a balance between grip and durability. It is paired with a neoprene coating that protects the casing from water and mud.

The Neoprene Coating is a 0.1 mm-thick silica coating applied to the casing. It prevents the casing from absorbing moisture and mud, thereby extending its lifespan without affecting the tubeless tire’s performance or comfort.

The 240 TPI cotton casing offers great flexibility and optimal comfort. Its design combines elasticity, puncture resistance, rolling resistance, and handling in corners to meet the demands of cyclocross competition.
