What to do if you are in between bike sizes?

If you are on the edge of two different bike sizes, don't worry, you'll probably be ok on either size (rather than thinking that one size will be awful and the other will fit). Indeed, bikes are adjustable: the seatpost can slide up and down, the saddle can move backwards and forwards and you can even switch out parts like the stem for different sized ones to help the bike fit better.

Finding out whether or not you should pick a bigger or a smaller frame is sometimes as simple as personal preference, but there are a few simple ways to work out which might suit best:
  • If you’re flexible, you might prefer a shorter head tube, so the smaller size might work out better for you. You can use a longer stem to make the reach more comfortable.
  • On a bigger bike, the reach to the handlebars will be longer. This means that if you have proportionally longer arms, you might be more comfortable on a bigger frame.

The 30.9 mm seat tube is compatible with a handlebar-controlled dropper seatpost. The rear mounting points are compatible with the SIC 2.1 semi-integrated rack and ACID fenders. The UDH and Boost rear thru-axle, featuring an extra-wide rear dropout guard, is designed to be both sturdy and future-proof. Mounting points beneath the top tube make it easy to add an ACID-compatible tool or any other accessory. Form and function, perfectly combined.

How do you improve an excellent bike that already features excellent components? By upgrading the brakes. The powerful and progressive control of the Cube Reaction SLX’s Shimano XT hydraulic disc brakes not only helps ensure your safety but also helps you ride faster and have more fun. Combined with the smooth control of the RockShox Recon Silver 32 air fork, the smooth shifting, and the huge gear range of the Shimano XT 1x12 drivetrain, you have everything you need. The Schwalbe Racing Ralph 2.25'' tires (fast, smooth, and grippy, mounted on Newmen Performance 30 wheels) round out the perfect package for exploring the trails.
