Description
The PROTECTOR vest is there for you when your riding skills fail you. It protects your back, whether you're mountain biking or winter sports, and offers exceptional comfort. The all-new, highly flexible LITESHIELD FLEX back protector offers excellent shock absorption (EN1621-2 level 1) and moves with your body for a lightweight feel. The functional S.LEISURE™ polyester fabric is just as snug. It has just the right amount of stretch, is breathable and quick-drying. And best of all, it's much more environmentally friendly than other fabrics: It's much more eco-friendly than other elastane fabrics. How does it work? Firstly, the manufacturing process uses less water and energy. Secondly, the fabric is mechanically stretchable, which means that no elastane is used to create elasticity. As a result, the fabric, and therefore the vest, can be recycled. Only the protector (also recyclable, but in TPE) and the hip belt (not yet recyclable) need to be removed. S.Café® technology, also eco-friendly, neutralizes odors.
Once home,the loose-fitting vest can be put directly into the washing machine.
TECHNNOLOGIES
- LITESHIELD FLEX: Evoc's latest protective technology offers excellent shock absorption and at the same time a new level of flexibility and freedom of movement. The combination of a highly flexible thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) compound and the geometry of plus and circular elements forms the basis for the superior ergo-dynamic flexibility of the LITESHIELD FLEX protector.
- S.LEISURE: Fast-drying, highly breathable and flexible polyester functional fabric. Thanks to its water- and energy-saving production process, its ecological footprint is significantly lower than that of similar textiles. What's more, this bluesign®-certified fabric is recyclable.
- S.CAFÉ TECHNOLOGY: The use of S.Café® technology on fabrics helps neutralize unpleasant odors. Coffee grounds have numerous microscopic pores that absorb odours sustainably and without chemicals. To achieve this, an extract is obtained from used coffee grounds from local cafés, using a patented process that exploits precisely this natural odor-absorbing capacity and can then be used in textiles.
