ION's new K-Lite Zip offers knee protection for enduro-oriented riding (EN 1621-1:2012 / L1).
The removable K-L1 Lite pad provides more than just abrasion protection and handles light to medium impacts with ease. Pre-shaped pads follow the natural shape of the knee and provide an ergonomic fit. A seamless anti-abrasion layer on the front allows for the pads' gliding ability, so they don't ride up in contact with the ground. The extremely durable and tightly woven aramid material adds to the sturdiness. Another contribution to the protection is the EVA side padding which absorbs impacts from the sides.
If you prefer to pedal without pads or expect long uphill passages, you can easily remove the knee pads thanks to the side zipper. You can open it completely so you can remove them without hassle.
