The all-new Tech 4 E4 builds on our 25+ years of experience in designing and manufacturing hydraulic braking systems. The Tech 4 uses an all-new internal seal to reduce friction, and the pivot rotates on roller bearings, reducing spring rate.the lower spring rate in turn gives a lighter lever action, reducing rider fatigue and retaining our legendary feel and modulation. The updated E4 caliper uses hybrid-style stainless steel pistons with a phenolic insert allowing smoother movement and less maintenance, while being able to handle high temperatures without heat transfer during extreme use.

Technical specifications

• 30% pressure increase over Tech 3 brake
• Articulated clamp design to reduce weight and increased reservoir area to reduce overall stack height.
• Shift lever integration has been improved and now offers 30° angle adjustment as well as neater packaging and compatibility with the latest shift levers. Lateral adjustment on both sides of the master cylinder is also possible to offer a wide range of lever position options.
• Hybrid-style pistons for smoother movement and lower maintenance, and a phenolic insert to manage heat transfer during extreme use.
• The Tech 4 retains the tool-free bite point and reach settings of the Tech 3
• All Tech 4 brakes come with new compound racing pads

Description

• Master cylinder and caliper machined from a 2014 T6 aluminum block.
• Low-friction master cylinder piston.
• Brake lever pivot mounted on 2 ring bearings.
• Hinged clamp for easy installation.
• Adjustment knobs for lever attack (contact point) and lever clearance.
• Post-Mount standard E4 caliper, 74.2mm center distance.
• 4 16mm-diameter caliper pistons in stainless steel and phenolic resin (ref: HBSP432)
• Braided Aviation hose 5mm diameter and 1600mm long.
