The Golden Gate 2 ATR is an extremely versatile trail running shoe, designed and built for medium and long distances. The upper is made from durable, breathable fabric, while the Bounce Foam midsole offers great responsiveness. The geometry of the I-Respond outsole allows for a smoother, more efficient stride. These key features make it the ideal shoe for athletes of all weights and experience levels who are looking for a reliable and comfortable shoe for their daily training.

DETAILS:

  • WEIGHT: 255g - Size/Size 42
  • DROP: Drop 4 (Heel 28 mm - Toe 24 mm)
  • UPPER: The mesh upper with 3D printed reinforcement wraps around the foot like a sock thanks to the Sock-Fit LW construction system, avoiding pressure points and ensuring maximum comfort and a precise fit. The tongue is made of lightweight, breathable fabric to ensure a traditional upper construction.
  • INSOLE: The "i-Respond" propulsion system improves the propulsion phase, increasing absorbed power for better energy efficiency.
  • SOLE BLOCK: The Presa® TRN-07 sole is the result of a study on multi-purpose soles. It is the "door to trail" concept that combines a single sole that can perform easily on road routes without compromising reliability and safety, even on rough terrain. The ATR rubber and 4 mm lugs guarantee performance and durability on all terrains, while the geometry of the outsole allows for a better stride.

TECHNOLOGIES:

  • EXO: Upper construction system designed and developed by SCARPA. The side protections (inserts or heat-sealed structure) combined with the upper create an exoskeleton that better protects, supports, and maintains the foot.
  • PRESA: Presa® is the ultimate result of the SCARPA group's R&D on soles. An environment of exploration and technological innovation, where experience and scientific research merge. Each Presa® sole is carefully developed taking into account the context in which the shoe will be used. Measuring key performance indicators (including grip on dry and wet terrain and resistance) is essential for choosing the best sole for the activity for which the shoe was designed.
  • Sock-Fit LW: On Trail Running models, the tongue is made of a single piece of elastic fabric that gently wraps around the foot, providing a comfortable and stable feel.
