Origin of the Leki brand
Leki is a German brand founded in 1948 à Dettingen unter Teck (à Stuttgart) by Karl Lenhart. Initially specialising in woodworking, the company supplied wooden letters for the signs of food shops such as bakeries and butchers. Karl Lenhart, a keen skier, was always dissatisfied with the quality of the ski wear available from the brand. He began to solve the problem and used the machines in his factory to make his own handles and washers for his ski boots. In the 1960s, production was industrialised. Shortly afterwards, aluminium and fibreglass composites entered the manufacturing process, and in 1970 the first alpine ski boots were marketed under the Leki brand, followed by cross-country ski boots in 1973.

For almost 70 years, Leki has put its expertise and passion at the service of skiers. This long experience has led Leki's developers to design a variety of innovative products, such as flexible tips, the anti-shock system (to reduce the impact on trekking equipment, such as snowboards, snowboards, etc.), and a range of accessories;tons, such as the Leki Micro Vario Carbon, and improve user comfort), ErgoSoft handles and Micro Sticks (ultra-lightweight, compact folding crampons for extreme mountaineers).
