Bikepacking is the current trend in vacations and bike travel.
While bike travel is not entirely new, bikepacking adds a dash of freedom and self-sufficiency to the perfect vacation recipe. The idea is to use your own bike (road, gravel, or mountain bike) and get the necessary equipment for bike touring. A special touring bike is not required.
The core idea, of course, is to only bring what is necessary and distribute the weight across the available options on the bike (for example, on the rack). This way, the bike remains easy to handle and, most importantly, lightweight.
There is a wide variety of bike bags that can be attached to the bike in multiple places. Saddle bags, for example, can be attached to the seatpost and have a capacity of 1 to 10 liters. There are also frame bags and handlebar bags.
The bags are easy to attach to the bike using Velcro straps and quick-release systems. The goal is to make the journey as easy and enjoyable as possible while securely transporting luggage.
Bike bags should, above all, be practical. That's why manufacturers continually introduce innovative products to make bags lighter, more durable, and more versatile. This way, the bike isn't unnecessarily weighed down, making it easier to stay flexible during the trip and adapt to all situations.
Depending on the duration of the bike tour, you can also find bike bags of different sizes. The various models range in capacity from 4 liters to 17 liters.
