Millet: the pioneer of the mountain backpack

In 1934 Marc Millet and his wife launched the first underwired backpack and it was in 1945 that the first backpack for the high mountains was created.

In 1964, the birth of the Sherpa backpack made entirely of nylon with the advantage of being lighter than cotton and waterproof. In 1977 Millet diversified and began making parkas and duvets and in 1982 the brand launched its textile collection for climbing.
