Hiking Child Carriers

A child carrier backpack is a must-have for any parent who wants to go hiking with their little one.

Most major outdoor pack brands offer a range of hiking child carriers. These include German brand Deuter with its Kid Comfort range, Osprey, Vaude with its Shuttle carrier, and Ferrino.

A hiking child carrier should be comfortable both for the baby or child and for the parent carrying it.

Choosing a hiking child carrier

Choosing the right hiking child carrier matters, so it's worth keeping the key criteria in mind. Pack weight, load distribution, back system and accessories for your child (head support, sun canopy, etc.) are all things to consider before you buy.
