SMP, leader of ergonomic saddles
SMP is an Italian saddle manufacturer, market leader in ergonomic saddles. Since 1947, the design and production of saddles have been entirely carried out in Italy.
Thanks to extensive ergonomic studies in collaboration with urologists and andrologists in order to respect the anatomy of the human body, SMP launched the SMP4BIKE range of ergonomic saddles.
Their optimum shape reduces the perineal contacts with the saddle.
Made of carbon, the saddle is lightweight, resistant and comfortable, some padded with gel for extra comfort (15 different forms of padding), and they're available in women's version.
Saddles adapted to your anatomy
SMP offers many models for you to find the saddle that is best for you in shape and width, depending on your anatomy and your practice.
Different ranges are available for road, bicycle touring, electric bike, trekking and triathlon, in different colours:
- Light and rigid saddles like the Full Carbon saddle.
- Saddles covered without padding: nylon coating reinforced with elastomer and loaded with carbon fibre, leather or microfibre coating like Composit.
- Padded saddles: padding with elastomer at the supports of the ischium and buttocks like the Drakon saddle.
- Saddles for junior pratitioners with or without padding.
The rails are made of carbon fibre or stainless steel tube.
SMP has also developed a textile range with cycling shorts open at the front.
