It’s technically impressive and withstands Scandinavian showers well, but let's be honest: at this level of thinness, you avoid handling it with gloves or pitching it in the middle of brambles. It’s precision equipment, not a construction tarp. For waterproofness, it shows 1600 mm for the roof and 3600 mm for the floor. It's decent for moderate rain, but far from the "pool" performances of the Samaya above. 

The brand announces 2 places. Well, with a height of 70 cm and a width of 120 cm, let's say it's an ant palace, but for one night with two it will still do and for solo use, it’s the real luxury. The real feat remains its volume: once folded, it only measures 11 x 22 cm. It literally fits anywhere, whether in a bikepacking seat bag or at the bottom of a trail running pack. Nordisk pushes the vice to stakes: some weigh only 1 gram. In short, the Lofoten 2 ULW is a technological showcase. Weighing 1.4 kg, it doesn't play in the same league as the Nordisk, but it remains incredibly light for a true two-person tent. Once folded, it takes up only 30 x 14 cm, making it the favorite of bike tourists and hikers who don’t want to waste any space in their bag. On the technical side, this is serious: a 50D Ripstop polyester with 3,000 mm waterproofness, roof and floor. It’s enough to confidently face typical showers, even though you need to stay cautious over time in case of non-stop downpour.

The secret to its weight is its single-wall design. It’s simple, effective, and pitching with the duralumin poles (color-coded!) is child's play. On the other hand, single-wall means you have to watch out for condensation. Ferrino added front ventilation to avoid the "sauna" effect, but in very humid weather or at altitude, expect some droplets in the morning if you don’t ventilate enough.
