Rethinking the wetsuit...
This wetsuit was codenamed “Alphafly”; Huub wanted to create a wetsuit that would have the same impact on wetsuit technology as the Nike Alphafly had on shoe technology.
This wetsuit eliminates almost all of the “foam” neoprene from the back of the suit.
The PU material used in its place does not absorb water, which reduces the weight on the swimmer. The neoprene that provides all the buoyancy is stacked beneath the swimmer, creating buoyancy and drag reduction never before seen in a wetsuit.
The wetsuit’s key features are as follows:
- Unique panel construction and neoprene placement.
- The PU material covers most of the back of the wetsuit, with a minimal amount of “foam” neoprene.
- The stacked neoprene on the front of the wetsuit maximizes buoyancy.
- Highest-quality Yamamoto neoprene.
- Breakaway zipper.
- Tried-and-true M.A.D. system.
