Choosing the right sized bike depends on the type of bike, your height, your riding style, and your preference. A correct fitting bike will be more comfortable, more efficient and more fun to ride

What to do if you are in between bike sizes?

If you are on the edge of two different bike sizes, don't worry, you'll probably be ok on either size (rather than thinking that one size will be awful and the other will fit). Indeed, bikes are adjustable: the seatpost can slide up and down, the saddle can move backwards and forwards and you can even switch out parts like the stem for different sized ones to help the bike fit better.

Finding out whether or not you should pick a bigger or a smaller frame is sometimes as simple as personal preference, but there are a few simple ways to work out which might suit best:
  • If you’re flexible, you might prefer a shorter head tube, so the smaller size might work out better for you. You can use a longer stem to make the reach more comfortable.
  • On a bigger bike, the reach to the handlebars will be longer. This means that if you have proportionally longer arms, you might be more comfortable on a bigger frame.

Choosing the right road bike

An aero bike that reduces wind resistance is great, but a race bike should also – of course – be as light as possible. So, with the Cube Litening Air C:68X, we worked with Team Intermarché-Wanty to develop a frame from our premium C:68X® carbon that combines the best of both worlds. At around 799 g for a mid-sized frame, it's svelte enough to easily build a UCI-compliant 7.1 kg bike, but it's still slippery through the air and comfortable for long days in the saddle. The overall weight saving on a classic road bike is a difference you can clearly feel – and see in your results!

Speed is everything in racing, which is why the Cube Litening Air C:68X Pro combines an incredibly light frame with aero design. But that's just the start. Sram's Force AXS electronic 2x12 gears deliver your power to the road – and the built-in power meter means you can keep an eye on exactly how much effort you're expending. Lightweight Newmen Streem Climbing 35/38 wheels shod with 30 mm Continental tires are fast to accelerate, whilst Sram Force AXS hydraulic disc brakes give you the power you need to brake late and hard. Put it all together, and you'll be posting new personal bests right off the line.
