Crest rims are part of mountain bike history. Introduced in 2005, the Crest design evolved directly from Stan's early ideas, including the legendary 355 rims. Stan wanted a simple, durable rim that would work well without a tube and be lighter than everyone else's rims. The Crest achieved those goals. With a more durable and lighter 6069 alloy and an asymmetrical rim shape that balances spoke tension, today's Crest MK4 has technology that is light years ahead of the first design, but the spirit of the original Crest is still there: make it light, make it usable, make it puncture resistant, and make it as fast as possible.
The Crest MK4's BST-Asymmetric rim design makes for a stronger wheel while offering easy inflation and Stan's unmatched waterproofing. The Crest MK4 rim is optimized for 40mm Gravel and mountain tires up to 2.3 inches, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of bikes and riding styles.
The Crest MK4's 6069 alloy construction, light weight and low profile rim shape give it an unbeatable ride quality, especially suited for Gravel and XC, and like all rims that bear the Crest name, it's built for speed.
