Description
The Restrap Switch Rack rear rack features a lightweight design made from durable materials and can be quickly and easily installed and removed.
The Switch Rack is compatible with Restrap Switch Panniers and all other Switch Multimount products, as well as any product or accessory that uses mounting points spaced 64 mm apart, such as water bottle cages, etc.
The Switch Rack comes with mounting hardware and an axle designed to replace your current axle. It is compatible with 142 mm and 148 mm (Boost) axle spacing and includes spacers to adjust the fit. It is essential to use the correct thread pitch for your frame. To determine the correct thread pitch, remove your current axle. On many axles, the thread pitch is marked directly on the axle. It will be either 1 mm, 1.5 mm, or 1.75 mm.
Installing the Switch Axle
- Remove the current thru-axle from your bike, as well as the bolts at both ends of the Switch thru-axle.
- Install the Switch thru-axle using a 6 mm Allen wrench. Use as many 3 mm washers as necessary to center the top bar above the rear wheel.
- Use the included tapered axle spacer for compatible frames.
Installing the Switch Rack
- Place the rack feet on each end of the axle.
- Tighten the M5 bolts to secure the assembly.
- Make sure the rubberized fabric strap is snugly secured around the seatpost or seat tube.
- Use the Velcro strap to securely fasten the mount to the seatpost or seat tube.
- Tighten all bolts.
