Description
The Shimano Deore RD-M7230-SGS is an 11-speed mechanical rear derailleur designed to deliver durability, precision, and reliability on demanding trails. Intended primarily for e-MTBs, it features the SHADOW ES design—a sturdier and sleeker evolution of Shimano’s SHADOW system—engineered to effectively stabilize the chain.
Its beveled design allows the derailleur to deflect upon impact, better absorbing shocks encountered on the trails. The wide articulated arms enhance the unit’s stiffness and durability, while the compact, slim stabilizer helps keep the chain in place on rough terrain.
LINKGLIDE technology ensures smooth and reliable shifting, even under heavy stress. It is particularly well-suited for e-MTBs, where drivetrains are subjected to significant and repeated loads.
The derailleur is equipped with a long SGS steel cage with rollers, offering excellent wear resistance and durability. Paired with an 11-50-tooth LINKGLIDE cassette, it provides a wide range of gear ratios suitable for varied terrain and steep climbs.
