How do you improve on a classic? Advent X Ver.2 is the same derailleur you know and love, but with an all-new clevis design that improves performance in the toughest conditions. The new clevis is shorter and the improved position of the pulleys means better winding and greater chain mobility, especially on smaller sprockets. Their larger size also means the cassette lasts longer, especially on smaller sprockets. The derailleur linkage has also been updated to give a more linear spring response, reducing derailing force. Less tension on the cable makes it easier to engage gears, which translates into a better feel and marginal gains in terms of shifting speed. If you liked the original ADVENT X, but wanted a version with a smoother action that works better in the toughest conditions, the Ver.2 is for you.
