The versatile, waterproof approach shoe
RAPID XT is the comfortable leather shoe for approach, trail and light hiking, with a streamlined design. Every detail has been studied to guarantee grip, comfort and protection, like the TPU reinforcement that resists abrasion. The new GORE-TEX ePE guarantees high technical performance with low environmental impact. The Vibram® MegaGrip sole features a climbing zone at toe level, perfect for climbing, and a rear braking system that guarantees stability and grip. The innovative, wide and ergonomic toe shape is designed to follow the morphology of the foot.
Upper
The sleek leather upper is abrasion-resistant thanks to a TPU band running the length of the shoe and a rubber toe cap. The overall construction is a good compromise between protection, comfort and lightness.
Lining
The Gore-Tex ePE membrane offers excellent performance and durability, resulting in a waterproof and breathable product. The membrane's optimal strength-to-weight ratio enables the creation of extremely lightweight and thin products without compromising durability and performance. The PFAS-free laminate and durable water-repellent treatment (DWR) demonstrate a commitment to responsible chemical management, while reducing the carbon footprint (according to Higg MSI).
Sole block
The Vibram MegaGrip Agility XT sole combines a climbing zone in the toe with a braking system in the heel. A 3D TPU insert in the mid-section ensures stability and grip on traverses. The 3.5 mm crampons combine responsiveness and durability for all types of approach walking.
