Thanks to the twice-dense EVA sole, the shoe is light and flexible and is perfect for mixed soils and heavy carrying loads.
The Vibram Multiverse Hike sole has higher, spaced lugs to help expel detritus and dirt. The toe and heel have a larger surface area to improve traction on dirt roads and downhill.
