The Makra Light GTX is a versatile and agile shoe for via ferratas and easy alpine hikes. It's the perfect height and has all the features required for a range of activities. And they are also very versatile. At the same time, they provide the wearer with a good "feel" for the terrain underfoot. And if it's going to be comfortable on the way up and down, it needs to be built on a well-cushioned base that promotes a smooth ride performance. But that's not all the Makra Light GTX can do. It's designed for mountain enthusiasts who appreciate the benefits of a low-profile model on the climbs but don't want to give up the extra stability offered by a mid-rise design on the descents. By incorporating a special 2-zone lacing system with a mechanical lace locking system, the upper easily adapts to the demands of the terrain in question. Unlike conventional tightening lace hooks, this mechanical style of lace lock does not slip once it is locked in place - it requires manual intervention to unlock. This allows for tighter lacing at the ankle and looser lacing at the top of the shoe, for example, for greater freedom of movement when climbing or going uphill. While for descents, the entire lacing can also be locked above the ankle for greater stability.
