Description

The Title CR1 145 mm bottom bracket is, of course, built to withstand the toughest conditions.
Your shifting performance will never be compromised, even on the most challenging downhill trails or on Super Boost+ frames.
Developed to pair with Title CR1 cranks (3-piece design, machined from 7075 T6 aluminum, available in 155, 160, and 165 mm, in Matte Black or Chrome finishes), this interchangeable 29 mm diameter aluminum axle provides the maximum clearance essential for reinforced gravity frames. It is TRI-TEST® GR (EFBE) certified, validating its extreme durability for Freeride and DH.

Details:

  • Axle designed for a 157 mm rear wheelbase, ensuring maximum chainstay clearance.
  • Frame compatibility: Downhill (DH) bikes and frames meeting the Super Boost+ standard.
  • Bottom bracket compatibility: SRAM DUB 29 mm only.
  • Chainline: 56.5 mm (note: requires a chainring with a 6 mm offset to maintain this chainline).
  • Q-Factor: 183.5 mm.
  • Crank Arm Clearance: 77.75 mm.
  • Compatible standards: SRAM DUB DH, SRAM SB+ (Super Boost), and Shimano M9130 / M8130.
  • Chainring Mount: SRAM-style Direct Mount—8 screws only (chainring not included).
  • Axle weight only: 113 g.
  • Weight: 680 g (165 mm cranks and 136 mm axle).
  • Color: Chrome.

Chain compatibility (depending on the 8-bolt chainring selected):

  • SRAM T-Type: Compatible only with SRAM T-Type 12-speed drivetrains.
  • Shimano HG 12: Compatible with Shimano HG12 12-speed chains (XTR CN-M9100/M9200, XT CN-M8100/M8200, SLX CN-M7100/M7200).
  • Regular: Compatible with most 9- to 12-speed drivetrains: all standard SRAM 9/10/11/12-speed drivetrains, all Shimano 9/10/11-speed drivetrains, all KMC 9/10/11-speed chains, and single-speed setups.

Installation Guide:

Required tools: Cranks, axle, chainring (6mm offset required), 8 chainring bolts, T20 socket, 8mm Allen wrench, 2.5mm Allen wrench, torque wrench, grease, cassette tool (for the outer bolt).
Installation time: 5–10 minutes. Difficulty: Easy.

INSTALLING THE CHAINRING AND AXLE
  1. Place the chainring onto the appropriate crank arm and align the 8 chainring bolts provided.
  2. Tighten the chainring bolts to a torque of 4 Nm using the T20 wrench.
  3. Generously lubricate the splines on the opposite crank arm with a suitable grease.
  4. Screw in and tighten the axle using the 8 mm Allen wrench, ensuring the threads are properly engaged. Wipe off any excess grease with a cloth. Tighten to a torque of 55 Nm.
INSTALLING THE CRANKS ON THE BIKE
  1. Apply a generous layer of grease to the axle and slide it through the bottom bracket from the non-drive side.
  2. Grease the contact point of the drive-side crank. Install the crank (with the chainring attached) using the 8 mm Allen wrench. Ensure that both cranks are perfectly aligned at 180°. You can then install the chain. *Caution: Be sure to use the correct number of spacers on each side of the bottom bracket to optimize the chainline, in accordance with SRAM’s specifications.*
  3. Tighten the crankset assembly to a torque of 55 Nm.
  4. Screw the preload adjuster ring by hand toward the bottom bracket to eliminate play, then tighten its locking screw to 1 Nm using a 2.5 mm Allen wrench.
PEDAL INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE
  1. Properly grease the threads of your pedals, place the supplied washer on the crank arm, and screw on the pedal. Tighten to a torque of 35–40 Nm. (If you are using Title crank boots, first place the washer, slide the boot over the crank arm, then install the pedal.)

Additional note: Your CR1 cranks are lubricated at the factory. To ensure their longevity, make sure the outer crank bolt is tightened to 20 Nm using a cassette tool.
