Description
The evolution of the current Superbox to the DCR system for complete internal cable routing. A 4-way stem. The stem can be used in 4 different ways to suit any cable routing solution on the market: DCR, S-DCR, Direct and External. Combined with Deda Handlebars featuring DCR (Deda Internal Cable Routing), the stem is the perfect solution for bikes with full internal cable routing.
The Superbox® stem features an exclusive system that offers two possible mounting solutions for internal cable routing. Full internal cable routing (DCR) or semi-internal cable routing (S-DCR) through a cover that allows installation, adjustment or maintenance without unnecessary complications for electronic cables and disconnection of hydraulic boxes. Superbox® works with a standard 1-1/8" fork steerer tube, while the stem is compatible with a 46 mm (for 1-1/8" bearings) or 56 mm (for 1.5" bearings) top steerer tube.
The stem package includes special spacers that provide channels for the sheath cables. The spacers and nylon liner are designed with slots that allow them to be opened, and they can be added or removed to get the right fit without having to remove all the cables. Innovative 3D forging technology and flat design translate into improved aerodynamic performance. The addition of sizes 70 and 80 makes Superbox the best choice also for mountain bikes with internal cable routing and for gravel bikes. Available in POB finish (polished on black).
To mount Deda Alanera and Superbox on certain bikes, it's necessary to use a specific spacer (Colnago C64 Disc and V3RS Disc) or insert (Bmc, Cervélo and Factor).
To fit Deda Alanera and Superbox on certain bikes, a special compression ring is required: Bottecchia Emme4 (HDCOMPRDCRBOT); Dare VSRu (HDCOMPRDCR-DA); Merida Scultura (HDCOMPRDCR-ME); Bianchi Oltre Race, Sprint - Focus Izalco Max - Rose Xlite, Reveal, Backroad (HDCOMPR-ACROSX).
For Orbea, Specialized, Cannondale, Trek and ARC8, a specific adapter is required; the adapter must be assembled as the first spacer under the stem. *For Tarmac SL8, you need to use the adapter + the original top cover and spacers kit for the original SL7 stem.
In the case of Ridley and Colnago V3 (MY23) forks for internal cable routing, we recommend purchasing separately the Alanera and Superbox top cap for D-Shape forks (cod. HDSBXTP-4DX).

Need some mountings tips ?
If your handlebar has a high rise (which creates a lever arm) or if you use an aluminum handlebar you can slightly increase the tightening torque, the one indicated by the manufacturers is generally low enough presents no to risk damaging the carbon parts (on which the contact surface increases friction and thus limit slippage).
