Compatibility
- The chainring is fixed via 3 screws, at the rear of the bottom bracket, near the axle. Note that Sram Red and Force AXS 12 speed cranksets use a different 8 screw mounting interface, which is not compatible with these chainrings.
- Wolf Tooth's patented wide/narrow Drop-Stop tooth profile for ultimate chain retention and mud removal capability.
- Standard road/cyclocross/gravel: 6mm offset for both cyclocross and road cranks, with a 47mm chain line.
- Praxis Works Road/CX cranks use a 6mm offset. Praxis Works mountain bike cranks use a 3mm offset for their DM-A chainrings and a 0mm offset for DM-B.
- The maximum diameter of an oval chainring is equivalent to that of a round chainring that is 2 teeth larger (example: 32 tooth oval chainring => 34 tooth round chainring). So make sure you have the right clearance before ordering your chainring.
- If you are using a 9-speed transmission, use a 10-speed chain (it moves and works well on a 9-speed transmission and is more fitted, for better chain retention).
- Drop-Stop B tooth profile for all 9, 10 and 11 speed chains or Sram Eagle, Campagnolo, KMC, Sram Flattop AXS 12 speed chains.
- Not compatible with Shimano HyperGlide+ 12V chain.
Recommendations
- It is recommended to use a "clutch" type rear derailleur for a better chain security.
- An L-shaped wrench works best because the bottom bracket axle can contact a socket adapter and prevent it from engaging properly.
- Use the same 3 Screws to secure your Wolf Tooth chainring.
