Description

APURNA BCAA 2:1:1 branched-chain amino acids are ideal for endurance and power sports. They promote recovery by repairing muscle tissue. An intake of BCAAs during exercise also provides a rapid source of energy to complement carbohydrates. They limit the use of muscular amino acids as an energy source during exercise, thus promoting recovery and muscle building.
These 3 branched-chain amino acids (Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine) are mainly present in muscle tissue (35%). They are said to be essential because they are not produced naturally by the body. They must therefore be supplied via the diet. For athletes, it is difficult to consume enough BCAAs via the diet to cover the body's needs. Supplementation is therefore necessary to meet the muscular needs of athletes.
The ratio 2.1.1, 2 (Leucine), 1 (Valine), 1 (Isoleucine) is said to be "natural" as it corresponds to the natural ratio of these branched-chain amino acids in muscle.
