Description
The Token 878 external bottom bracket is a very high quality bottom bracket designed to be used with all Shimano and Sram GXP cranksets (with additional adapters). The bottom bracket is precision engineered for optimum durability and smoothness - and did we mention it looks great too!
We designed this bottom bracket so that the bearings rest on the bottom bracket axle to provide a direct load to the bearings, thus extending the life of the bottom bracket. It also allows us to build the 878 to tighter tolerances so it runs smoother with less friction. This bottom bracket is available with our TBT über-smooth bearings or our Premium bearings.
To make the 878 durable and maintenance free, we use our patented X-Seals that keep water out of the bearings, which is very important when riding hard in tough conditions. There are several small seals and this reduces friction while providing a better barrier against moisture and dirt. The bearings themselves are precision manufactured and packed in a smooth, sealed grease. To make it even more durable, we use oversized bearings so it's strong enough to be used on mountain bikes.
The 878 is a great choice for riders who ride hard and want their gear to be as tough as they are.
