DESCRIPTION:
The CX242 is the culmination of all Lake experience, advanced materials and footwear manufacturing techniques to create a shoe that offers the best fitting solution for hard-to-fit foot types. Made with a thermoformable heel counter and a uniquely designed upper adjustable enough to fit feet of any height or foot volume without sacrificing comfort.
The CX242 has been designed for cyclists with foot problems such as bunions, deformities or extremely narrow feet who need a shoe that won't bump their feet, giving the cyclist the endurance they need to stay on the bike. The upper has separate panels that allow for fine-tuning of pressure and fit, which also allows the upper to conform around sensitive and painful points of the foot without the same level of stress experienced in traditional shoe uppers.
CX/TX Competition Last - With a profile specially designed for very high cadence riding and higher pressure, the Competition last features a more curved profile than the Sport last. Key differences include increased toe and heel height, a tighter heel and a slightly wider circumference to allow the foot to expand under high pedaling pressures.

- Width: Regular.
- Outsole: Lake Competition 100% carbon fiber outsole. Available in 3-hole cleat design. A 100% carbon fiber outsole that creates a comfortable, lightweight and elegant package.
- Upper: Full-grain leather and NuFoam lining with carbon fiber support panels, which help maintain a secure fit while adding foot stability. The upper is segmented into 6 independent zones for a more flexible fit to accommodate narrow or wide feet as well as high and low instep feet. Moldable heel counter doubles heel support for a secure fit. Carbitex support panels offer extra support for improved closure.
- Closure: Li2 BOA® Push/Pull adjustment system mounted on both sides with removable lace guides.
